On September 3rd and 4th, 1,500 people in the region planning to improve, repair, or upgrade their homes attended the Euregio Bauwelt trade fair. At the Aachen-based event, dedicated to building, renovation, modernization, and refurbishment, they spent two days learning about the possibilities and options available for making changes to their properties, speaking with experts, and comparing offers.
A total of approximately 50 exhibitors participated in the fair, which took place at the 100.5 Arena in Aachen. They used the event to showcase their products and services across 2,000 square meters of exhibition space. The range of offerings included timber-frame and prefabricated houses, building components such as windows, doors, awnings, and roofing, innovative and energy-efficient heating systems, solar and photovoltaic systems, and energy storage systems, as well as flooring, water filtration systems, roof renovations, and landscaping. Energy-efficient renovation, storage and self-consumption of solar power, the use of public funds and subsidies for renovation work, and the ever-present topic of burglary protection were further areas of focus at the construction trade fair, which also featured seven expert presentations per day.
"We are more than satisfied with the result. The event was very well received by both exhibitors and visitors," summarized trade fair director Jörg Hillemacher. "The 50 participating companies were on hand with expert advice and solutions for the individual problems of the visitors. This kind of on-site networking at trade fairs is always crucial, as it often leads to concrete orders later on."
The Euregio Construction World is the smaller autumn counterpart to the larger Euregio Economic Show, which traditionally takes place in the spring at the Aachen CHIO grounds and dedicates a large portion of the exhibition halls to the topic of construction. Both public trade fairs were last held in 2019 due to the pandemic.
