The Aachener Zeitung is contributing to the preservation of biodiversity and green spaces. During the campaign period from October 1st to November 30th, 2024, we will plant a tree seedling in the Rott planting area in the Eifel region for every new e-paper subscription. Readers with existing subscriptions can also support the campaign by donating a tree seedling for 5 Euro.
The project is being overseen by the Rureifel-Jülicher Börde Regional Forestry Office, which will also be responsible for the care of the young trees. The Aachener Zeitung participated in the campaign with 1000 trees at its launch. Other people from the region have joined in, so we can now look back on a total of approximately 1600 trees planted.
