Medienhaus Aachen GmbH, publisher of the two regional daily newspapers, the "Aachener Zeitung" and the "Aachener Nachrichten," along with their respective district editions in the Aachen-Düren-Heinsberg region, will merge at the turn of the year. For subscribers of the "Aachener Nachrichten," this means they will find their familiar local newspaper in their mailboxes under a new name: "Aachener Zeitung." Nothing will change for readers of the "Aachener Zeitung."

The two newspapers are already essentially distinguishable only by their names and their brand colors, blue and yellow. Along with the print editions, the two news portals, aachener-zeitung.de and aachener-nachrichten.de, will also be merged into a single portal.
